Welcome to the CME Accredited 7th World Congress on Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Medicine (PTRM2024) scheduled from March 1-2, 2024, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The event, with a focus on "Challenges & Achievements," aims to bring together top clinicians, department heads, researchers, students, and educator to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns, as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and occupational therapy.


The event intends to develop the profession by offering access to continued education and networking opportunities, as well as to foster information sharing and education in a welcoming setting.

Therapy (OT) from the University of Pittsburgh, PA, United States in 2013. Dr. Sarsak has worked in the USA, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan for over 20 years in a variety of clinical, academic, and research institutions (i.e., University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, University of Jordan, and Hashemite University). Throughout his

career, he has provided services for individuals from different populations (i.e., Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics) with different diagnoses (i.e., Psychiatric Disorders, Neuro-physical Dysfunctions, Cognitive Disabilities, Learning Difficulties), etc.

Prof. Dr Gordana Devecerski Born in Sarajevo (SFRY) in 1961. Graduated at the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad in 1986, and then received master’s degree and specialized at the same faculty. Received PhD at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade in 1999, in the field of neurophysiology. Became pain medicine subspecialist in 2016. Prof. Gordana Devecerski, PhD, MS, MD has been a full professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Novi Sad since 2016, in the scientific field of medical rehabilitation. She teaches medical and nursing students, occupational therapists in full-time, master’s and doctoral studies as well as in specialist programs to future medical rehabilitation and pain therapy specialists. During her career, she attended professional study visits in Italy, USA, UAE. She is a member of several domestic and international professional associations. She is the author and co-author of more than 300 professional and scientific papers, published and presented in the country and abroad.

My professional journey includes

a fulfilling role as a faculty member at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for

Health Sciences in Jeddah from (2017- 2020), practice at my own pediatric

outpatient clinic (2018-2020)

I earned both my graduate and

undergraduate degrees in Occupational Therapy from Duquesne University, USA. I

graduated with honors cum laude and received Ribbica Bartoldi Award, This Award

presents to students who demonstrate strong leadership, academic excellence,

and a passion for a health science occupation.

I was recognized as the first

international graduate from Occupational Therapy program at Duquesne’s

University since the establishment of the department; around 30 years. I was

described by my faculty and mentors as a person who will make a significant

impact on the Occupational Therapy field in Saudi Arabia, Talented, Skillful,

Kind-hearted, and a very hard worker. Because my interest in cultural

competency, DU University invited me to continue working with them as a member

of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion committee. Currently, at AFRC, I am

responsible for CARF coordination. And was able to lead the whole team to

proudly receive CARF accreditation in August 2023. I also serve as a member of

a consultations committee at King Abdulaziz University's Department of

Occupational Therapy in Jeddah.

I admire and work compassionately

to form partnerships with National Profit as well as non-profit Organizations

aiming to serve people with disabilities better to integrate them in the

community. Examples of those organizations are not limited to, but includes: charitable Society for people with special needs in Taif, Taif Sport Club for

people with Disabilities, Sea sad Driving School to initiate their Driving

Rehabilitation Program, Ministry of Education at Taif.

My passion lies mainly in making

a positive impact on the lives of war victims. I am deeply involved in projects

aiming to enhance their quality of life. Lastly, my focus areas include

evidence-based practice improvement projects related to cultural competency,

inter professional collaboration, patient experience, ergonomics, assistive

technology, and community integration.

enhancement spans 4 decades. Gary served as the co-head Athletic Trainer for the United States Track & Field team for nearly 20 years including multiple National Championships, World Cups and World
