She proved in her research that Power walking along with cardiac rehabilitation helps in improving health-related quality of life (HQoL), functional exercise capacity (FEC), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and metabolic equivalent of tasks (METs) in patients who went post coronary

angioplasty. Her research was published in Physiotherapy Research International Journal on 06/07/2021

(https://doi.org/10.1002/pri.1919 ) with

high clinical impact. She holds clinical experience since 2015 in the field of orthopedic, sports, pediatric, manual therapy, neurological and cardiac rehabilitation. Currently she is working at Thumbay Hospital Ajman.

Even though the results have shown good prognosis for the cases who completed the treatment plan, more investigations have been promised by Dr. Maha to be followed.

As a result, she participated on the World Refugee Day on the 20th of June when she was only 9 years old. Furthermore, she has been invited to participate by the student’s speech in the World Physiotherapy Day on the 2021 done by the Sudanese Physiotherapy Specialists Association (SPTSA); this highlights the significance and intelligence reflected by Maria’s work

First student turned staff for the GMC Hospital (now Thumbay Hospital, Ajman - Jan 2005) During my varied experiences working as a Physiotherapist in the UAE, (in Al Zahra hospital, Sharjah and now in Social Services Department, Govt. Of Sharjah) I have undertaken various lead roles in mediating International workshops; training undergraduate students; co-ordinating and achieving various KPI goals; setting-up the Physio Department etc. Being an avid learner, I kept myself abreast with the latest in Physiotherapy and did specialization in Aquatic Therapy Rehab; Women's Health Physiotherapy and Ergon Techniques to name a few. Presently, as an ongoing PhD - Public Health scholar, am researching on the awareness amongst the women of the UAE (both nationals and expats), about how Physiotherapy can help them prevent the so-called unavoidable issues during their oldage.
